The Process
When building first The Dyad Brush prototype, we started by cleaning out glitter tubes and then filling them with paint. After, we cut off the top of the paint brush around the metal part. Only after we hot glued the two pieces together and testing the product, we realized that our tool wasn't going to stay together. To both create a grip around the paintbrush and hold the two parts together, we cut a square of sponge and wrapped it around the tool where the two parts met. We then shaped the sponge so that it was easier to hold and wrapped the grip in a layer of duct tape.
